Saluda festival, camping & hiking trip
Check out this link to view beautiful photos of the hikes we took Sat. and Sun. Climbing the rope was a challenge but my wonderful hubby coached me through. We even hoisted a 7.5 pound terrier in a sling made from Jon's shirt. Wow! What a rush of adrenaline. I wanted to stay and swim but a storm was coming in and we had to get out of the woods before it got too slippery to climb out. I had one slip and got covered in mud but at least it wasn't as bad as falling on rock (or off a cliff!). Great time with Marc, Dawn and Hoops. Orchard Lake campground in Saluda is a jewel of a place! And the people of Saluda that we met at the campgournd, festival, shops and restaurant, the Purple Onion, were all super sweet. We nicknamed it Pleasantville!
