Fun in Kingsville

Jon, Brayden and I toured the famous Kings Ranch; once over 1 million acres! We met a real cowboy in his 70's that has lived on the ranch since he was a kid and started working/breaking quarter horses when he was 10 years old. Very cool that he("Lo-Lo") worked with 3 famous horses that won the KY Derby and the horse that won the U.S. Triple Crown. He played "You are my Sunshine" on his harmonica....I sing that same song to Brayden everyday :}. I love this picture of Brayden on the saddle at Kings Ranch. Also, we took this picture of the unusual animal, the Nilgai, imported from India to the Ranch. It's kinda like a deer/horse mix. The 1956 movie Giant was based on the Ranch so I have to see that James Dean/Elizabeth Taylor/Rock Hudson flick again...when?! who knows when I'll have time for that!! ha! :0

We had fun at the park with Christina, Rick and the kids. We enjoyed a great Mexican meal afterwards. Christina gave us cute boy clothes for Brayden including a pair of jeans to go with his cowboy shirt and bib. Now, if I could just find a cowboy hat small enough to fit his tiny head, we'll dress him up in his cowboy boots and get him a lasso rope :]
