Our dear friend Elaine, who has been petsitting for us for the last 2 weeks, picked us up from the airport. She did the same for us when we returned to Charlotte after Brayden's arrival too so we are so very thankful for Lanie...she will go down in history in our baby books for Brayden and Ciara as one of the VIPs that helped us with our adoption journey. We are so thankful to so many people that helped us along the way, starting with Dinki who helped on Christmas day with Brayden while we packed and drove us to the airport! On the way home from Texas, we were nervous about traveling with two babies. We took a picture with the Delta ticket desk guy, Robert, at the San Antonio airport. He was so very nice and bagged our two carseats and did not charge for any of the luggage. Jon and I had to sit separately with the babies on both plane rides because there is only one extra oxygen mask per row for babies. We were fortunate that we sat next to nice people on each plane. Ms. Kineane from Indiana and a Delta airline attendant helped me with Ciara. Brayden was easy going for Jon and played and slept most of the way while Jon talked to friendly passengers seated next to him. Ahh, we're so happy to be home! Ciara is looking around taking in her new surroundings and she seems to be calmer. We enjoyed opening a huge box loaded with baby girl pink stuff from my Mom. Granmom is already spoiling her and it's exciting to be "pinked out"! I've always loved pink since I was a Phi Mu.
