hmmm, what's worse, taking a week old baby to a casino or hiking? Those who know us, will understand introducing Brayden to his first nature experience was exciting; and when you're a 15 minute drive from the beautiful Red Rocks Canyon, you can't resist. So, Jon and I took the 13 mile scenic drive through the Canyon park at 6 in the morning before it was hot. We took Brayden on a 10 minute slow paced walk in the shade. We watched a few rock climbers, took video tape of a bunny rabbit and the amazing 360 degree panoramic views of the canyon. We felt like we were in a Discovery channel episode! It's so amazing. We saw lots of cyclists, walkers and runners...such dedicated people at 6am! no way could I do that but I guess if you lived here it's the only time you can exercise since it's too dang hot during the day. Anyway, Brayden sleeps very well in the car and he told us he can't wait to go on another hike when we get him home to NC ;-}
