Brayden received his first monogrammed gift - a blanket with his name and date of birth stitched on it. Thank you Adam, Crystal, Alyssa and Chase!
We also received a homemade blanket from the Tillmans and Nanah Pat had a quilt made from my Grandma Maggie's quilt squares which my Mom had been saving since the 70's or 80's. Nanah Pat stitched Brayden's name, date of birth and my Grandma Maggie's name on the back of the quilt. I'm so glad my Mom was able to see it when she was here visiting. Also, Brayden received his first postcard from Nanah Pat who is traveling in Washington. What a lucky little boy!
The Davenports gave Brayden a very special adoption storybook called "I Wished for You". It is a beautiful story and we read it to Brayden last night. This book will always be treasured as a special gift...just like our little boy! I sing a made up tune to him everyday with the verse: "Brayden, Brayden, we love you, Brayden, Brayden, treasure true".
I'm amazed to see the changes in Brayden each day; longer eyelashes, fuller face, fuller diapers (LOL!), holding his bottle with both hands at 3 weeks old, holding his little head up so high and strong, rolling on his side, waving his arms (he punched Jon in the face today....it was a love punch. We will be kickboxing buddies I can tell :)
